First Official Training Camp11/28/07 23:16 PMFrom 8 to 14 October 2007, First WOC2008 official training camp took place at Zlaté Hory. Over 100 participants came to hotel Bohemaland, located in sport resort nearby the town. Teams from Sweden, Norway, Finnland, Danmark, Switzerland, Italy, Japan as well as individuals from Ireland, Estonia and Poland accepted the invitation to the camp. During the week, nine trainings were organized for the participants, and some of the teams enclosed their training stay by taking part in Czech meeting 2007 weekend competitions. This took place south-east of Zlaté Hory, in the area where this year’s Czech championship was held. The trainings were arranged in the terrains similar to those of WOC 2008, firstly to the area of middle, which is just on the other side of Jeseníky mountains, and in a certain manner also to the terrains of long and relays. Simone Niggli and Jan Šedivý won Saturday’s middle, while Radka Brožková and Mattias Karlsson were the fastest in long on Sunday . |
